We recommend replacing your timing belt every 75k miles. While the factory interval is about 100k, we believe that is cutting it a little close. The factory estimate does not account for differing weather conditions, different driving styles or even vehicle age. All of these things can alter the lifespan of your timing belt and the components that keep your engine running smoothly. Failure to replace your timing belt too late can cause it to snap under operation, which can cause bent valves or even piston and cylinder wall damage.
